About the prize

The first edition of the Arab Bank Switzerland’s NFT Art Prize took place from January 18th to June 7th 2023.

Open to all artists who use digital tools and have previously created NFTs, this prize is a unique opportunity to develop a new masterpiece on a major societal topic, and to benefit from the appraisal of renowned international experts.

Selection Criteria

There are no age, country, nationality or selling requirements. However, each artist will have to submit an art piece that refers to the link between Orient and Occident. This creation, a unique piece, will be minted on the occasion or will have already been minted (eth or tezos) and still in the possession of the artist.

The Jury

The prize is supported by a panel of judges and expert mentors from the art and digital worlds. Each application was examined, and 10 finalists were shortlisted in May, before the winner’s announcement which took place on June 7th, 2023. The art pieces and preselected artists’ profiles were subjected to a dedicated communication, to give them further visibility and increased attention from the public.

Endowment and Rewards

The laureate received a prize of 15,000 CHF. The winner had the opportunity to present her work during an exhibition that took place in Lisbon, during the Non Fungible Conference and prize ceremony, on the 7th and 8th of June 2023.

The winner’s art piece was acquired by Arab Bank Switzerland and became part of its NFT collection.
